These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of 26 Extreme’s Website.

By accessing this website we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use 26 Extreme’s website
if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of Northern Ireland. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions of Participation

You understand and accept that failure to comply with any of the terms and conditions set out herein may, at 26 Extreme’ sole discretion, result in your disqualification from the Event. you are required to comply with the health and safety rules of the Event and these terms and conditions otherwise you may be asked to leave the Event site.

Hazards & Risks

You commit to participate in the Event with full knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with participation in the Event. It is your sole responsibility to inform yourself of the risks involved and you are strongly advised to take every reasonable precaution to avoid such risks. If you are unsure of such risks, you must contact us prior to the Event to obtain advice.

You hereby confirm that you acknowledge and agree that the Event is a potentially hazardous sporting event. You acknowledge and accept that participation in an event such as the Event is potentially dangerous and that there are numerous risks associated with participation. Such risks and dangers include (but are not limited to) traffic accidents, collisions with pedestrians or vehicles and/or fixed or moving objects and the negligence of other road users. Further, you confirm that you fully understand and accept that your participation in the Event may result in serious bodily injury and/or death to yourself or others. It is your responsibility to exercise reasonable care and attention. You hereby accept that 26Extreme does not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury whatsoever resulting from any Event risks or dangers.

Risks of Event Route You further acknowledge and accept that the route of the Event may require running and/or cycling on public roadways and/or on rough or uneven terrains which pose hazards and risks. By entering the Event, you acknowledge your responsibility to exercise every possible caution when using the pre-set Event course. 26 Extreme accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury incurred in circumstances where you leave the marked Event track.

Equipment

Use of Suitable Equipment – Your Responsibility Where relevant to the specific Event, the acquisition of [mandatory] equipment, including specific safety equipment, is essential in order to be allowed to enter and take part in the Event. Such equipment MUST be obtained by the Participant before entering the Event and it is the sole responsibility of the Participant to ensure that he can demonstrate to 26 Extreme at the start of the Event that he has the relevant equipment on him. In case of questions, you must contact 26 Extreme prior to entering in the Event. NOTE: You waive your right to participate in the Event and you will not be entitled to take part in the Event if you fail to bring to the Event any equipment 26 Extreme has advertised pre-Event as mandatory. If you fail to carry the appropriate mandatory equipment while participating at any point in the Event, 26 Extreme shall be discharged of any liability in respect of your participation.

Clothing – The participant should dress appropriately for the type of Event and for the conditions. Where published by 26 Extreme and appropriate to the Event, the Participant shall carry at all times any mandatory equipment specified by 26 Extreme. However the carrying and/ or wearing of mandatory equipment shall not prejudice the Participant’s obligation under this clause to dress appropriately for the conditions and it is in the Participant’s sole responsibility to select and wear appropriate clothing, footwear and other garments. 26 Extreme will accept no liability whatsoever for any Participant who suffers injury or loss as a result of the wearing of inappropriate clothing or footwear.

Equipment Loss, Theft or Damage – 26 Extreme accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any property owned by or under the control of the Participant, deposited by the Participant in the Event’s event village and/or at any point of the Event course. This includes any transport of your equipment where such transport is in element of the service provided during the Event (whether by, or on behalf, of 26 Extreme).

Event Insurance – You hereby acknowledge that it is your personal responsibility to arrange for insurance cover for the Event if you wish to be covered by insurance. 26 Extreme will not provide insurance cover for Participants in the Event. You accept that the Organiser has made it clear to you in advance of the Event that no insurance will be provided.

Fitness & Medical

By registering for an event you declare that you are physically fit and healthy enough to take part in the Event and any of its advertised activities.

Your Fitness Level – You accept that participation in the Event involves strenuous physical exertion as you will be required to be active for very long periods of time, including the risk of being active through inclement weather and/or very hot weather. By entering the Event, you acknowledge this fact and you accept that it is your sole responsibility that you have a level of fitness at least adequate for the Event requirements. If you have any questions on fitness levels required, you must seek advice from 26 Extreme before entering the Event.

Medical Disclaimer – As part of completing your copy of the Event Rules Document on the day of the Event, you will also be required to complete and sign a Medical Disclaimer and present this to 26 Extreme when collecting your race pack. You will not be able to participate in the Event unless the Event Rules Document is completed, signed and presented to 26 Extreme prior to the start of the Event. If there are any specific medical details which you believe may be important, 26 Extreme highly recommends that you write these down and carry on your person at all times during the Event.

 

Weather Conditions 

The Event is an outdoor event which can and will take place in varied weather conditions. You are expected to prepare yourself for the conditions of the day accordingly. The characteristics of obstacles, structures and terrain may change in varying weather conditions. You are expected to use your own judgement at all times when assessing these conditions and your interaction with the course.

Compliance with Local Law

It is the sole responsibility of the Participant to comply at all times during the Event with all applicable laws, byelaws and regulations of the events location, including without limitation, all speed regulations, road traffic laws and laws relating to the possession or use of alcohol, drugs or other prohibited substances.
